This tram route runs between the city centre and the Ajuda district to the west, using historic tram cars.
The heritage remodelado trams take a little over 20 minutes to complete their journey from one end of the line to the other, negotiating narrow streets, tight bends and steep hills along the way.
The city centre starting point is Cais do Sodré, where you can buy a 24 hour ticket, transfer to the 15E and 25E tram lines, plus the metro.
Note that trams on this route run Monday to Saturday only, there is no service on Sunday (or holidays).
A few stops before the end of the line is the stop for the Ajuda Palace. Make sure you get off at this point if you want to visit the palace – but don’t panic if you miss it, it’s only a 5 minute walk back from the end if you get it wrong!
